Match report

A glorious spring afternoon for the first match of the season. Castle Hill knocked off a quick 260 for 4 probably due to dearth of Grannies strike bowling. Ed Gardiner Hill led what pace there was and opened his second season as a bowler with 2 wickets.

The Grannies responded well but could only manage 222 for 6 at the close. Will Finn got his season off to a flyer with 89* and Ed chipped in again with a quick 55. The Skipper excelled at umpiring.

How to get there
From the North, follow the A21 South, past Tunbridge Wells and Pembury to the Kippings Cross Roundabout. Take the first left off the roundabout and follow the B2160 to Paddock Wood. When you get to the village of Matfield, pass the village pond and go right at the next crossroads, signposted to Brenchley. Enter the village of Brenchley and go left up the hill, opposite the church, signposted to Paddock Wood. At the junction at top of the hill go right onto Crook Road. Follow Crook Road for 1.1. miles.
