An honourable draw for the Grannies against the Royal Household today. In our 191 in 37.4 overs, good knocks came from Toby Reynolds who opened and applied himself for his 30 on a tricky wicket; a classy 51 for Mo Ahmad; a stylish 38 for Sam Packer and a dashing 27* for Samuel Burrett before a rain-affected early declaration. In the Household's reply of 186 from 31 overs, the Grannies fielded well, and Sam Packer put in a shift, picking up 2 from his 12 overs, whilst Kit Schutzer-Weissmann was the pick of the rest of the bowlers, picking up 3. A really enjoyable day and a strong Grannies side - we had them 8 down and had rain allowed for a few more overs, we might well have snared a rare win at Windsor. Well done to all who played, gentlemen one and all.
