A sunny but windy Monday and sunny then misty Tuesday greeted us for the 30th running of the Quadrangular Match at Porthcawl. The semi final matches saw the MCC take down the XL Club and the Free Foresters scrape home in the last match to beat the Grancogs 3/1.
The final on Tuesday morning resulted in a drawn match between MCC and th Foresters while the main event, happily, saw the Grancogs deliver a 3/1 win over the XL Club, much to the chagrin of their skipper Stuart Bowden who had managed to avoid this ignominy for all of the previous fifteen years that he had run this match. A big thank you to Stuart from all involved for the huge effort he has put in over the years.
