Match report
Grannies inserted and after a brisk start by Billy Maisey (76) and Bertie Clark (17) for 61 and then Billy and Angus Hinton (21) we stoood at 108 for 2. Sadly we fell away after that and except for a bright knock of 40 by debutant of Harry Adavin we struggled to 201.
Goodwood took the game away from us with their opener scoring 89 before being craftily lured out of his crease by Jon Staniforth (2-21) after a two year layoff! They scored the winning runs in the 26th Over.
Mention should also be made of an excellent 8 over spell (1- 48) from Archie Clarke and two leg side stumpings from Monty Clarke. The ex chairman would have been proud.
