Match report
Skipper Harry Felgate elected to bat first on a lovely day in Kent against one of our oldest opponents and for the second time in three years, a Granny registered his maiden century in this fixture. James Cutter opened and anchored the innings, reaching the milestone in the last of our 35 overs with a big hit over midwicket. 102 not out. Simon Hungin made a stylish 44 and Falconhurst's chase was always threatening. At a vital moment Theo Tritton took an astonishing catch at extra cover, one of the best the chairman has ever seen in Granny colours, and with Toby Coleman chipping in with vital wickets, the home side needed 12 to win off the last over. Sam Pougatch clean bowled 10 and 11, and we were just home. A fabulous day, Harry Felgate skippered excellently and James Cutter ad a memory to last a lifetime.
