Match report
As usual, Grannies batted first, on a feather-bed wicket, in sunny SE London. We got off to a quick start and adapted well to a range of bowling options at the disposal of the Dusters' skipper. Leg breaks met left arm over, combined with right arm round... We reached a competitive 149 off our 20 overs.
It's fair to say that we were caught a little off-guard by the strong stable of Dusters batters. The field was, perhaps, set optimistically at first. Once spread, the runs were stemmed a little but many balls flew over the rope and they made light work of the chase.
Part three: we were well-hosted after the game in the usual style. The teams enjoyed a cold beer and a hot dog together and it was conceded that this was the strongest Dusters side fielded in a while.
