With much of the prior day having been spent trying to complete the roster, getting to the Tuesday morning with most of a team (7 as it turned out) was all the success that the captain expected but the combination of doughty competitiveness from Doherty, a tight finish for Jenkins and Davies and good wins for Philpott and Lock and Dyson and Pack saw the Grancogs romp home in most unexpected fashion. So the decanter resides in Grancog hands for only the 2nd time in the history of the event.
