Match report
Another year, another beautiful day at the glorious Hurlingham. The Grannies won the toss and inserted the oppo as the wicket was a little green and damp from overnight rain. This was the correct decision as the Grannies had H.C.C on the ropes at lunch with a score of 130 for 6. As the track dried they showed grit post lunch to get 270 all out on the stroke of half time. Although we dropped a number of tough catches ( circa 7) the feeling was that we had done well to get them out but should have had them at the 200 mark. Tom Hamilton and Ned Gammell bowled well - both getting good key wickets throughout their innings.
I am afraid it gets bad from here, they had a good left arm opening bowler who got 5 wickets in as many overs and we found ourselves all out for just under 100. A great shame.
