Electing to bat may have been a good call and after getting to 135 for 4 Scott (49), Dom Fry (33)and Ben Yeates (27)it still looked good but 4 wickets fell for 6 runs and despite a rear guard action by Jon Staniforth (24) and James Marriage (18) put on 30 odd we were bowled out for 184.
The Gents batted and went off like a train putting on 60 in the first 10 overs. The introduction of spin through Mike Fernie and Dom Fry slowed the run scoring and we then start to take wickets. It was not enough however and with their 5 and 6 hitting the ball to all parts of the ground and beyond they achieved the target with overs to spare.
