75-80 turned up and hoovered down a huge quantity of wine and canapes with fantastic silver service from Pat Percival ably assisted by, Louise and James. A huge thank you to them from all who attended. Also huge thanks to Jon Staniforth for arranging everything and Syko for the wine.
The Chairman gave an amusing and confident speech about the coming Season and how we would win more matches than last year, not difficult. He then revealed that two new '1st XI fixtures' have been added to the calendar. Jim Streeter is still searching for anyone that qualifies as a 1st XI player.
Dom Fry received the Mike Roger's Trophy for services above and beyond the call of duty, the trophy being presented by Mike's brother Robin after a particularly brief citation from the Chairman
Mike Bluett made his annual pilgrimage from north of the border to act as official photographer. We will need to wait a while for the results, apparently email has yet to reach his part of Scotland.
The usual suspects were looking for a quick exit to Miranda's but a number of other halves turned up to take them home so they had to settle for pasta instead.
... and Pougatch bit his nails at the Emirates and would have much preferred to have been with us than be put through the ringer by the Gooners - there's always next week!
