Match report

With over a hundred acceptances for the annual Grannies Cocktail Party this was always going to be a big do. In the end not all were able to make it but a really enjoyable time was had.

The Chairman, Bob Percival welcomed everybody and presented the Mike Rogers Trophy to Tom Gibbs for his bowling efforts in destroying the Goodwood innings and leading us to victory.

Michael Broke was remembered with a fond and amusing eulogy by Nigel Creffield with many stories of his exploits on the field and elsewhere. Vera, his wife and Philip his son and a Granny could not be with us but we were delighted that Nicola his daughter was able to join us for the evening.

Finally tremendous thanks to Martin Emmison and his colleagues for allowing us to use the offices of Goodman Derrick. A superb location for the party.
