Match report
Sadly, Thoiry was the only game we managed to play due to the weather. Despite gallant offers by the Standard team to 'give it a go' and turn up just in case, the rain proved relentless and the game was called off without first-timers even glimpsing the splendour which is Standard. When word came through that the sun was beating down at the Oval - oh joy! - we repaired to the giant TV at Cafe Oz (!) for what was ultimately another frustrating cricketing experience.
Something of a damp squib of a tour cricketing-wise, therefore, but made more than worthwhile by great golfing outings at Belle Dune and Chantilly before and after le weekend.
