Match report
A typical sunny,showery,blustery Spring day with hurricane winds and a long tough course put us to the test.
With 9 players (Draffan,Begg and Don,Percival,Tod and Rooney,Sykes,Slocock and King )we split up into 3 x threesomes. The eventual team winners by a whisker went to the Old Malvernian team of Draff,Begg and Don.Draff had to aim over cover point to get anywhere near the fairway,whilst Begg was always down the middle like an old pro. Don found more balls than he lost,Percival played like a Chairman should , Toddy, a former Cambridge Blue, was as steady as ever,Rooney showed signs of excellence as did Syko but normally on the wrong fairway,Slocock looked a little weather beaten and shell shocked by the end and King looked ready for lunch after immaculate golf (at times).All in all a hugely fun day topped off with a delicious lunch at 3.30 pm !
